And that was my point Todd. At some point a Vidor fan or mc fan will rub it in your face when you lose in the playoffs the following year, but state “we are pulling for you guys”.... yeah, pulling for us to lose.

PAK you know this bulldog has been having y’all back since y’all beat us. I almost hit the nail on the head with yalls kicker going to win it for y’all and move onto round 4.

Wow!  This has all become MY fault?

I'm gonna clue y'all into something.  And the extremists on both sides of the racial divide won't like this but that is too bad because it is true all the same.  There is this area which stretches from the Texas State Line (Orange) to Winnie, maybe even as far west as Anahuac, north to Jasper and south to about High Island, known by the rest of the State as "Beaumont."

Mustangs win, they are from Beaumont.  Port Arthur Memorial loses, they are from Beaumont.  Mid-County vs. Port Arthur?  Doesn't exist to those folks outside of the above outlined area.  Pear Orchard doesn't like Vidor and vice versa?  Heck, most of folks outside of this area would guess that Pear Orchard is a part of Vidor.  The petty differences that most folks in this area hold against other folks in the area are just that, petty. And they have no interest to folks outside of here.

You don't need to lecture me.  My hometown got a hatchet job courtesy of "The Worldwide Leader in Sports" (RIGHT!!!) using a local boy gone good as, what I am beginning to understand, an unwitting accomplice.  It was done by a person quite like yourself, someone who had no clue as to the true story but never let that get in the way of a good agenda furthering.

Sir.  I don't know you and probably will never meet you in this life.  If you check my posts, I didn't start posting until mid season.  What I'm saying is you allow posters like Pak to spit out garbage with no recourse.   I didn't even know about the PAM game controversy until Pak brought it up in the game thread.

But since then, I've spoke with three players in addition to an assistant coach I've known since I was 5.  What happened....It happened.   But my question I why?  Why Vidor?  Why our stinky hands?

Btw, I moved to Houston 15 years ago last month.  Funny how you can give your opinion of an out of area prospective when you still live there.  You are right, but the actions of the PAM go to prove the divsions are right there 15 miles away from each other.

Plus you talk about ESPN smearing you...try CNN coming to your hometown to tell the world about it's "Sundown" past.

Block me, kick me off, I don't care.   Just be real and stop allowing one poster from getting away with whatever they want.  Nine years is a long time to hear about how much Vidor sucks from 75% of this board.  We never had a Dan Hooks or Earl Thomas.  It is what it is.  But there seems to be a lack of empathy among fellow football fans.

It had nothing to do with race. If It did why would they shake hands with other schools of the same racial make up as Vidor such as Lumberton, png, Nederland and kingwood park?

That makes a lot of sense.  I appreciate your honest response.   Just never understood why it happened to Vidor specifically.   I'm just saying that if the majority of PA residents share the same views at Pak, then I understand.   I personally loved playing TJ and Lincoln when I was in high school.   Don't know,  maybe I'm asking the wrong question in the wrong forum.  If that is the case, I'm truly sorry.

It had all to do with getting a physiclogical advantage which apparently work.

You know, there would have been a time I probably would have knocked you off the site.  But really, I think the worst thing I can do to you is to let you continue on and make a rear end of yourself....which may I say you are doing a wonderful job of.

Yes, it is obvious that you know nothing of me or you would know that the last 25 years of my life before this spring were spent in the Greater Houston area....Houston, Katy, Clear Lake and Baytown.  So I speak from experience when I tell you how Houstonians look at us.  And both black and white, it is looking down at us.

Now, believe me, I am no fan of just about anything the pakronos writes here.  And I can show you the posts where I have done the same thing to him that I am doing to you right now. But what YOU have managed to do is give one of his actions credence.  I recall when he wrote about the fact that he would be actively rooting against Vidor AND PN-G.  He mentioned that folks from those communities really wanted Memorial to lose.  By your posts, you have managed to prove that it wasn't one of his senseless rants but that there was some basis behind it.

Congratulations!

Come on Grad your better than that. She’s simply stating facts. If she spewed the same hatred that comes  out of Paks mouth she’d would already be gone. When you allow posters to get away with belittling and berating players your going to get this kind of rebuttal. I like to pick and talk smack too but you will never hear me berate players. It gets personal when you do that. So what she’s trying to say is she’s tired of Paks stupid ass mouth. As for rooting for other teams. I like to see all teams in the area do good but I just had to rub it in Paks face about thier lost because of his mouth. I drove to Dallas last year and to Houston the year before to support WOS but WOS fans know how to handle themselves with class. So with that said hopefully we can keep this forum to some good clean smack talk. Peace out.

While you were the Houston area I was having rocks thrown at me at Babe Zaharias returning to the bus after getting our butts kicked.

Also, considering our scout staff needed an armed escort from the pressbox after the PAM game tells you the hostility we faced.

Sure seem like a WOS homer considering that much time away from the area.  But to each their own.

Like I'll say for the THIRD time, I had no issue we the PAM team until their poster took shots at local teams, coaches, play calling, and lastly the communities.  You'll see over the years that I have been consistent in my descent to posters for Summer Creek and Crosby for the same thing.

Call it rants, I call it facts.  No...it is fact.  Go win a second championship and I'll cheer you.  I remember listening on the radio in 1987 when WOS won it.   Not sure if you were in the area then, but it was huge.  So was West Brook in 82 in their first year.  Wow...a Vidor teenager cheering on a local team.  Used to be we all did that.

I have worked at Memorial Stadium for the past 5 or 6 years. I work in the press box right next door to the visiting coaches room and can tell you that this is a BOLD FACE LIE! I am usually at the stadium 3 hrs before the game starts going all over that place preparing cameras, referee mics etc. I distictly remember going back to the press box elevator, holding the door for your coaches (which was LATE mind you) and showing them their room. At NO TIME were there any "ARMED ESCORTS" with them. Please stop letting your distaste for ONE poster get the best of your mind and fingers. (Clouding your thinking and typing such nonsense)

This is a perfect example of why I've chosen to just read post and not comment. People are just doing the most these days.

Got a message from a good friend who is a HUGE PAM fan I sat with at the game about what was going on in this thread. Been too busy to be around the board much this year but I hate seeing this. What happened is what happened for whatever reason it happened. I have exactly zero belief it was racially motivated....probably more gamesmanship. Personally, I think Xbox was going to pull out all stops after the embarassment from 2016. This discussion should have taken place during the PAM / Vidor thread (the game we didn't show up for). Our past is our past and it should stay there, IN THE PAST. Or maybe everyone here can explain it to the black children on our team (of which the number is growing exponentially). I doubt we'll ever see PAM in a football game again unless we do it in the pre-district play. We're down to 1280 kids and I predict 4A within four years. For my part, I spent $10 to watch the Temple game on Texan Live and it was worth every penny. I do want to know where the safety help was for the cornerback with 52 seconds left in the game. Seriously? Extremely proud of how the Titans represented SETX and congratulations on a great season.

First of all buttercup, I reported it as pure comedy. It came from a cry baby Vidor fan that posted it in the town rag which got brought to the local news. Stop blaming others for y’all subpar football lol

A slice of the district championship, three rounds deep in the playoffs and lost to a very good team.

That sounds like a great year for PAM.

Here is another one like clockwork. Sorry, but as a community the expectation was much higher and I think we as supporters about to try and get rid of the Xbox. In MC that might be the standard to just make the playoffs, these kids expected to be playing next week and wasn’t satisfied with just making it to the third rd. That team wasn’t great. They were competitive. Manvel is a great team. I can tell you was really pulling for pam smh... that was sarcasm.

PAM would be crazy to drive Kenny out of that head coaching spot. They didn't just make the playoffs, they made it three rounds deep and were 50 seconds away from beating a very good Temple team (all 3 teams that beat Temple this season are still playing this week). Pak, I'm sure you're not the only one with high expectations for them. Once you get to this part of the playoffs, all the teams are good or great.

But, if for some reason, Kenny was let go, I hope PAM doesn't pull a Tennessee and listen to the fans on who to hire. Be careful what/who you wish for. And Kenny would find a job just fine in that case.

I'm sure he makes calls that fans don't like (I see it on here), but you're assuming the replacement will be better.

Hey berry, try to see it my way... let’s be honest this district was a three team district with no competition. Those hicks in the neighboring district is even worse. So with the raw talent PAM have, ANY COACH can beat one or both MC schools which promise you a D1 #1 seed. That means you get that weak D1 runner up first rd and some garabsge Houston/Galveston Co school second and that get you past the first two rounds. Then you face real coaching and teams that will crap on MC schools, which at that point is your toughest teams you played lol. I said all that to say this, like all the haters that will hate in August will say, PAM  should be 4th or 5th round every year. Xbox gets out coached in the third rd... that team in 2011 got that far on talent. Example the kid we called the honey badger, didn’t play during Cibolo Steele game, for a good reason, but the freshman corner they put in got picked on and was the weak link. Xbox is not that much different from Dean Colbert. When jamaal left and talent dried up, PAM struggled horribly. When PAM was in 6a with NO GOOD QB play, imo an overhyped running back that’s doing okay now, it showed he could not coach. The only thing I credit Xbox with is the kids will go through the fire for him.
