Tonight is the beginning of 10-3A-II district play as the Newton Eagles travel north to take on the Crockett Bulldogs!  W.T. Johnston's Eagles, 4-0 on the season, were last in action two Fridays ago in a 60-17 win over East Chambers.  Meanwhile, the Bulldogs, 1-4 on the season, fell to Coldspring-Oakhurst two weeks ago in their final pre-district contest 22-16.

Join Bobby Fillyaw, Donnie Meek and Jon Meek for all of the action from Monte Jack Driskell Stadium beginning with the pregame show at 7:15 followed by the kickoff at 7:30 by clicking play on the following player:

Keep your mouth shut if you don’t have a clue what’s going on. It got like that because of Crockett not because Newton wanted it too. Tried to run clock they said no, they kept passing over and over again. So Newton would get a pick or a fumble recovery. Kicked 2 FGs on 1st down. So shut up and worry about trying to win games in Kirbyville and don’t worry about the winners in Newton Tx
