Grad any info on this? Not much being said around town..

I heard rumor of it a few weeks back, While the info came from an extremely reliable source, as far as I am concerned it still belongs in the rumor stage as no official word has come from WO-C CISD about it....or at least none that I have seen.

Contact has been singed no if and or buts about it. It's a fact

That may be true.

But until official word comes down that 1) he has left Kirbyville CISD and 2) that he has signed on with West Orange-Cove CISD, I can't confirm he is the new baseball coach.  For me as an administrator of this site to do so without those vital pieces of info would be a great disservice to Coach Jones, Coach Todd Doughty and Coach Thompson.

Believe me, we will know in plenty of time.

For anyone interested in Coach Jones' record.  Google "2014 Wilbur Award winners Texarkana". Look for his name among the adult winners where his record is listed.  He holds the record for living coaches for consecutive trips to the state tournament at 6 in a row.  Only one other has ever done it and that was around 1960. He has been to 10 regional finals. 9 as a head coach and once as an assistant.  The only trip Kirbyville has ever made was with him as assistant.  WOS, supply some decent players and you are in for a ride.  Good Luck Craig Jones.

    • Poster I guess forgot about 2022 Port Arthur Memorial as well. (3rd round lost was to Longview who won Region 2). And last year that 1st round game was against Forney who won Region 2 as well.
    • FBM made it to the 4th round in 22-23. If that’s “weak,” I don’t know what “strong” is.
