Wow, threaten a meme maker who made fun of them, and then make there own.  Gotta love the "fair and balanced" left wing media.  And doesn't this prove that CNN is nothing but a political wing of the Democratic Party?  An allegation the left has denied for decades.  Plus the fact that 93% of their news on Trump has been negative.  They make the National Enquirer look like mainstream media lol.

Just when you think cnn couldn't possibly get any worse...

Trump is exposing these fools for the arrogant fools they really are...actually, he's just forcing them to expose themselves.

True.  He's playing them!  And they do not even have the sense to realize it.  I say it's about time someone turns the tables on them.

REBgp, how many years since we first talked about you can't trust the media?

Just about 50 years ago you told me that.

And baddog, old Walter was still cranking it out.  Fee Dee didn't trust them back then.  I thought he was crazy lol.  Now younger folks think I'm crazy for saying it, but their so durn blatant now.

The News media edits or slant the news to present it to us in a certain way to influence our opinions, it can be Fox or MSBC or CNN, they all have an agenda, and it is seldom stating plain facts.  REB and I go back a long way, and he knows I've never trusted any one or two new sources, maybe if you listen to are read several you may get at the truth.MAYBE!

I don't think Mr. Trump is being honest with any of us, he is not a true conservative, but he says what they want to hear and maintain their support, as for the liberals he plays us like a yo-yo, always distracting us with crazy tweets or outlandish statements and we fall for it every time. He loves the attention and I bet he gets a big laugh every night or course after his nightly prayer. That he probably doesn't say because he doesn't know one.

These are simply random thoughts to support your claim that Trump is dishonest. It makes little sense. What do his tweets distract you from? I thought they were what the left feasted upon. Please name a politician you follow who is not saying what you want to hear. Saying he knows no prayer is ridiculous.

I don't think too many folks ever thought Trump was a conservative, I sure didn't.  He has surrounded himself with quite a few conservatives and put a conservative on the SC... I like all that.

Never was a Trump supporter until it was him or Hillary...a no brainer for a conservative, but he has made decisions that have caused me to support him more.

Support should come from actions, not promises.

Donald Trump has stated publicly that he considers Marble Collegiate to be his church.

It is no ordinary one. Marble Collegiate is one of the oldest continuous Protestant congregations in North America. During Trump’s formative years it was led by the Reverend Norman Vincent Peale. Under his leadership, Marble Collegiate acquired a huge congregation numbering in the thousands. Most of those attending, in conventional Fifties’ fashion, went once a week - mostly to hear Peale’s sermon - but were not otherwise much involved in religious activities. Thus, Marble Collegiate was huge, but not a megachurch in the modern sense, which tends to provide lots of other kinds of programming in which many members participate.

Peale’s message was a fairly simple one: Think positive thoughts (which can drive out negative ones), be optimistic, and concentrate on personal fulfillment. Peale elaborated on those ideas in many books, the most successful of which was called The Power of Positive Thinking.

I guess it's a sign of the times, but I still find it unbelievable that a big organization like CNN would threaten someone over something so trivial.  Is this just the start?  Will they, and others  (MSNBC, CBS, NBC, ABC, FOX) start using this method to subvert free speech, even if under the guise of anonymity?

More I think on this, the scarier it gets.  For instance, say CNN sues me for defamation because of this post?  I could get a lawyer and probably win, but I may have to pay my lawyers fees, plus all of my precious time (at my age, how much have I left?) preparing for, and participating in the trial.  Financially, lawyer fees, or the time, would mean nothing to CNN.  Most will do as the creator of this meme did, apologize and promise never to do it again.  Absurd? Yes, as is what CNN just did.

Michael Berry made a good point on this yesterday.  He said that cnn may find themselves in a bad spot if they start messing with these private citizen bloggers like this because many of them are very tech savvy and have axes to grind anyway so cnn may find information about their employees and their families all of a sudden coming out for public consumption...don't poke the bear(s).

    • That’s a president? How embarrassing.
    • Really good hire! As I stated previously on this thread, Mike T has been an essential part of WB’s success the last few years & is a student of the game & I have a ton of respect for how he goes about things as a coach. Big on teaching kids how to do things the right way to prepare them for not only basketball but the game of life. He’ll be fine there, my only question is what kind of talent does WB have returning?  Best thing about this situation for Mike T is WB will be 5A for at least the next 2 years, so he should win a lot of games & have some deep playoff runs.
    • So which coaches kid gets the QB job? Trotter or Barrier
    • A Winnie land owner (and others) sued the State of Texas after they built IH-10 a few feet higher in order to help contain storm flooding. Sure enough a hurricane hit and flooded the land. The storm improvements worked!! Unfortunately the state sacrificed several people’s properties in using the interstate highway as a dam.  Richard DeVillier tried to sue Texas under our laws and Constitution and the US Constitution under the Fifth Amendment “taking clause” (eminent domain). After a favorable ruling in the federal district court on the right to sue Texas directly, the Fifth Circuit Court in New Orleans overturned that ruling and said that the DeVlier had no authority to sue Texas directly.  On Tuesday a unanimous US Supreme Court ruled that DeVillier and others had the right to sue Texas directly under Texas law and under the Fifth Amendment of the US Constitution. The case is now sent back down to the lower court. DeVillier and others have not won their lawsuits as the case has not been decided on its merits at a trial. He still has to go to prove his case. What they did win was a unanimous Supreme Court agreeing that he has the right to bring Texas to trial for taking his property with just compensation.
