Shocker: A&M, not UT, is Texas college sports revenue king

Kyle field renovation donations are being counted as revenue. Does not take a cold fusion scientist to figure this out.

$75 million for the year

It would have been easier with another seat width reduction expansion.

Cue aggy not understanding padding numbers, basic economics...

Take the Stadium Expansion out and Texas still is the dominate $$$$$ maker in the state - period.

But the question that should be asked is this - Why is the Texas overall athletic department not better?????

They pay their coaches 10% more than Ohio State - 21% more that Alabama and just a mere 40% more than those poor Aggies.

But the football team - well if the truth be known has been better, Basketball has been better - so on and so on.

Recently those poor out-paid Aggies who everyone one likes to make fun of have out performed Texas in Football, Track (both men and women), Baseball, Softball and Basketball was basically a toss-up.  Texas still is doing better is Women's Volleyball and Swimming (both men and women).

So is the money being well spent????

Discuss (or for Texas fans become indignant)

Don't forget golf bud. :D

It all boils down to football in this state and always will (even though some of us prefer the round ball).  We will see if the right hire was made this time.

Hey A&M has even closed the gap in golf as the men's and women's teams were closely ranked for 2017 - but (sigh) Texas was slightly ahead for both men and women's golf.

But Hoops you are 100% right in Texas football rules - gonna be an interesting 2017-2018 campaign.

Lets get her started.

Or being 8th in the Big 12 - that's bottom half if it is hard for a fanatic to understand - be proud you were better than Iowa State and Kansas in 2016.

You better hope "this ain't last year".

We sucked last year and we knew it after the first two Strong years.

The ND brought some early season fanaticism, but they sucked too!

Aggies were all aglow after the first CFB ranking, then BOOM!

Who had the more disappointing season?

In my opinion Texas - while both teams were disappointing Texas failed to make a bowl game after expectations (due to several good recruiting classes) were high.

Sometimes it feels like our last bowl game was the 2009 BCS CHAMPIONSHIP Game!

I believe your last bowl game was that one were your team gained 58 total yards against the 11th best team in the SEC.  I could see why you would wipe that from your memory.
