How about these Hypotheticals?

1- Coach Barrow gets offered AD/Hd Football and gets offered 92K a year....

2-Coach English offered AD at (92K) and Coach Barrow offered Hd Football (85k)....

3-Coach Simmons offered AD/Hd Football and gets offered 92K a year...

4-Coach English offered AD at (92K) and Barrow declines...New Applicant offered (85K) as Hd Football

The numbers above are just hypothetical and can be moved up or down....Are any of these unrealistic?

Scenario 4 won't happen. Simmons will not take the job without both ad and head football coach. The job likely will start in the mid 80k range and that's with both head coach and AD titles.

Was if Barrow declines and obviously Simmons is not coming unless the full package (I agree with ya here) This would be if someone new from outside then applied with just Football Hd Coaching duties

As  opposed to all football?

ad is for all sports not 1 only

This is very true and i agree that a good AD should be able to balance all the sports, but when was the last time during the regular season  you saw 7000+ attend a basketball, volleyball, baseball etc....game. Football is the money maker and this is TEXAS.

Basketball does not draw between 10 to 15000 fans, does not get the community fired up like football does, does not generate the revenue that football does, does not have a 200 piece marching band, westernaires, multiple concession stands, cheerleaders etc to compare the two is like comparing apples to oranges.....go to Indiana then you have a Basketball AD.

It makes sense if English is offered Ad and Barrow is offered head coach

What makes a better AD? 23 yrs learning the day to day job under an AD/Head football coach like Larry Neumann or the other options? Is this about controlling the hiring & athletic budget because some non football people believe their sports should get equal or more $$$ as football? Ive been to booster club meetings & trust me all the other sports do get taken care of. This should be about whats best for the whole athletic program & the best football coach for the town of Nederland. Head Basketball coach position is filled & program is in fine shape, no need to mess with a good thing right???

    • Just to expound a little further, so you are not confused...I, along with so many others, are laughing at your desperation. You are working overtime, nay, double even triple time, trying to convince normal people Trump was bad for the country. His policies provided for peace all over the world, low gas prices, low food prices, energy independence, closed border, low inflation, record low unemployment, and on and on and on. You try to counter this narrative by saying unemployment skyrocketed on his watch. You said this knowing full well the unemployment rate went up due to Covid. Your narrative is just so laughable, to the point of side-splitting hilarity. Who would even attempt this asinine narrative? Now, even if you get past the utter stupidity of that MSNBC talking point, you provide another side-splitting hilarious tidbit of evidence to back your claim of Trump being bad for the country. You actually tried to tie the stock market going down to Trump...after Covid. You, I, and everybody else knows the stock market was flourishing under Trump...until Covid hit. This argument is just as bad as the other one. Again, who would even attempt this narrative? The only thing you could remotely muster that had any sliver of truthfulness, is that spending increased. Sure, Trump rebuilt the military and gave them a deserved raise. But he also had to shut down the government due to Democrats demanding an even more, and very detrimental, increase in spending. And in a true extremely exaggerated fashion, you proclaim that spending "skyrocketed". Again, who would even attempt this narrative? I think I can smell the desperation. Do you have any other whoppers to contribute?
    • He was injured but has returned and he decided not to play baseball this year.
    • There's some truth to that.......some.
