$$ Same reason every head coach goes anywhere.  And also the same reason that ALL head coaches are always looking.  Can't fault a guy for bettering himself financially.

I doubt it.  I don't see either position being filled until the AD spot is filled.  I do see the Bruins and Jaguars being coached next year by someone that is already on their current staffs.  My opinion, stay away from outsiders, because most are just looking for a platform to somewhere else...

Faircloth has on two occaisions. Thing about that for me is I do not hold it against him. You cannot look to stiffle a coaches life just out of selfish reasoning. My place of work sometimes I see folks get mad about somones promotion. A coach leaving a job to better his family may not have nothing to do with the kids that they have grown to love at the district.

Well to be honest, yet not to bash, most have no problem with him leaving.  Some said they are glad to see him go.  Me, after year 2 when he applied for the Cleveland job, I didn't want him to go.  After year 3 when he applied for the Woodville job, I didn't want him to go.  Good guy, players coach, not what Central needs.  Good guy, authority figure who demands respect from his players is what is needed...imo.  Wish him the best...

You are correct about the playoffs.  0-4.  Should have gotten past the 1st round for sure the last 2 years...

Not many of us would stay at our current jobs if another job was offering you almost a $25K raise, despite it coming with more responsibility...

Two of the three coaching positions open and the other just filled this year for the third or fourth time in as many years, so yeah I would say so. Not to mention the AD position.

I have several good friends in the coaching world.  Sometimes coaches apply places and interview to keep their name in circulation just in case a potential life changing job opportunity comes open.  Or to simply keep practiced in their interview skills.  If you think that you're going to hire a coach that's going to spend their career at your school, then I'm afraid you're going to be disappointed.  Those days are gone.  They know that their career is literally on the line every single year depending on parents, school boards, administrators.... Coaches are looking out for the best interest of themselves and their family...who are you to claim that they shouldn't?

You really think that the head coach at your school isn't looking at that job board?  I'm not saying he wants to leave, but I'd bet however many dollars you have that he would at least send a resume if he saw the right job open up.

      Just to expound a little further, so you are not confused...I, along with so many others, are laughing at your desperation. You are working overtime, nay, double even triple time, trying to convince normal people Trump was bad for the country. His policies provided for peace all over the world, low gas prices, low food prices, energy independence, closed border, low inflation, record low unemployment, and on and on and on. You try to counter this narrative by saying unemployment skyrocketed on his watch. You said this knowing full well the unemployment rate went up due to Covid. Now, even if you get past the utter stupidity of that MSNBC talking point, you provide another side-splitting hilarious tidbit of evidence to back your claim of Trump being bad for the country. You actually tried to tie the stock market going down to Trump...after Covid. You, I, and everybody else knows the stock market was flourishing under Trump...until Covid hit. This argument is just as bad as the other one. Again, who would even attempt this narrative? The only thing you could remotely muster that had any sliver of truthfulness, is that spending increased. Sure, Trump rebuilt the military and gave them a deserved raise. But he also had to shut down the government due to Democrats demanding an even more, and very detrimental, increase in spending. And in a true extremely exaggerated fashion, you proclaim that spending "skyrocketed". Again, who would even attempt this narrative? I think I can smell the desperation. Do you have any other whoppers to contribute?

      The AD's job is to win in football. Everything else is window dressing. If the football team is winning the rest can go up in smoke.
