Facts.

Dallas is 1-5 in game that Prescott has more than 30 attempts. 1-3 Last year, 1-2 this year.

Prescott is not an elite QB who you turn the game over to. For whatever reason the play calling is so pass happy its ridiculous.

I think he could be if he had some protection. Not sure it's the loss of Free that did it. Free had too many holding calls. Our offense was getting the job done early. Can’t figure why OCs tend to get cute with their play calling. We were ahead. Why pass except on 3rd down?

I like to run the ball down opponent’s throats. If Zeke needs a breather, insert Morris, who ain't no slouch.

Dak is not an elite QB, but he doesn't have many steps to take to get there. That's why is said in an earlier post teams will crowd the box making Dallas throw the ball to beat you. Last year Dallas had a 4-12 schedule to play this year Dallas is playing a 13-3 schedule. Dallas is a good team but if they don't grow and progress like they are going to have to do they will not get very far with this years schedule. Six points in the second half against the Rams is not acceptable, even though you put up thirty for the game. Got to play as a whole team. Offense did get on the plane to Denver and the defense stayed in the locker room after half time in Dallas last week.

I agree with both of you. He is very talented and could get there, but is not there yet. And the play calling, thus far, leads you to believe he is. It is hard to blame an offensive line that has 3 pro bowl guys playing there. Any line, who is asked to defend the pass 30+ times a game is going to give up a couple of mistakes.

Defense is garbage.  OLine is over-rated.  Teams are stacking the line and daring Dallas to beat them through the air.  Dez is not elite.  Greg Jennings had a good piece on him.  Says he can't get off the line against a jam, and can't create separation.  Dak played well yesterday, but has not been very accurate for most of the year, and has very little explosive plays (+20 yards).

They have lost 2 straight at home, and got embarrassed on the road in another.  They are just not a very good football team right now.  And I don't see how that changes anytime in the near future.

Long season.

I agree with some of your assessment but not all.

I agree that the defense is not very good.  I think most COWBOYS fans knew this would be a rough year defensively .  Too much turnover in the secondary.  The defensive line is starting to get pressure and the LB's, with Sean Lee healthy and on the field, are pretty good.  Remember, there are only 2 returning starters in the secondary(Byron Jones and Anthony Brown) and both are young players.

There is no doubt that teams are stacking the box and saying, "beat us through the air"

I agree that Dez is not an elite WR.  He's good, but not elite.  He makes hustle plays and is very good across the middle.

I do not agree with you on the offensive line.  I don't think they are overrated at all.  This is a very good offensive line.  There are 2 new starters on the line at left guard and right tackle and they are constantly facing/trying to block 6 and 7 man fronts.  This is why running lanes are closing faster this year and why Dak is under more pressure.

One thing that I'm having trouble figuring out is why does the offense look so good in the 1st half of games and like crap in the 2nd half.  Time of possession and points have been few and far between in the 2nd half of the last two games.

GO COWBOYS!!!

Dallas had a 2 to 1 advantage in time of possession in 4th Q against Packers. Didn't make any difference.

Shoulda burned some more time on last offensive drive.  Giving the best QB in football over a minute of clock (he is unbelievable) was a death sentence.  And their OLine is over-rated.  Not nearly as good as the previous 2 seasons.  2 new starters, which were down grades, and a less than healthy Tyron Smith.  Teams don't respect Dak to beat them through the air.  So they load up.

The packers had an 11:30 minute to 3:30 minute TOP advantage in the 3rd quarter, as well as a 23-10 point advantage in the 2nd half.  Made a lot of difference.

So the time of possession was basically even for 2nd half and not in Packers advantage like you stated in earlier post.

Where did I state that the packers had a TOP advantage in the 2nd half?  I stated that the packers had a 3rd quarter advantage.  I also stated that the COWBOYS have struggled in the 2nd half the last 2 games.  They have lost TOP and points in the 2nd half the last two games.

    • Of course Trump’s prosecution is political, but if paying hush money is illegal, then there is no difference.  I’d say it’s more like ham sandwich/turkey sandwich.
    • Coach Foster and I had talked earlier in the season and he told me this might be his last year to coach but still wasn't sure. Well, he is sure now. It's been a great privilege to cover his teams. I always enjoy watching his teams play. They are always one of the best coached teams year in and year out. But it's more of an honor and privilege to call Kevin my friend. He is just an absolute great man. He and his dad are the reasons I am a big Big Sandy fan. I will miss Coach on the sidelines. Just won't be the same without him. But I also know we will keep in touch and he will be greeting me when I attend Wildcat basketball games. Congrats Coach Foster!!! Job well done my friend!
    • Yeah, I got that but talk about a stretch. It should seem obvious that Trump’s prosecution is purely political. If someone is going to do a whataboutism, at least make it similar.  This is so ludicrous that it’s like comparing a ham sandwich to a wallet.
    • You consistently try to say Trump ran our debt up and that the stock market and job market cratered during his administration (along with other MSNBC talking points). That is a flat out LIE, and you know it. Not only are you telling a mistruth, you knowingly are telling a mistruth...which is a blatant LIE...which makes you a "(I don't remember what word you used to describe Trump, something like a purse for dirt)" does it not? You know for a fact that the economy, stock market, and job market was thriving under Trump. You know that the Democrats controlled the house, and proposed a budget that would hurt the economy, in which he shut down the government. Even after this fiasco brought on by Democrats, our economy flourished under his administration. Then Covid19 hit, and the blue states shut down the country. YOU KNOW THIS, but continue to blame Trump. You lie...blatantly. Again, what do we call these people that partake in disseminating misleading information. You coined it...that purse thing. Does the shoe fit? I bet it does. It is amazing that you try to put "MAGA people" into this little box for the soul purpose of allowing all negative attributes of anyone that will vote for Trump instead of Biden to be attributed. That is a sickening modus operandi of stupid people. It is hard for me to believe that you would adopt that childish stereotyping. But since you are willing, I'm willing to push back. I'm a Trump supporter. I will gladly vote for him over Biden. So get busy putting me in your silly little box of stereotypes so I can embarrass you some more. You've been shot down by practically everyone on this board when you say stuff like Trump is their Messiah, or that supporters overlook his flaws. Everyone on this board has stated that they don't agree with Trump on much of his behavior, but you ignore these statements and continue with your lies. Oh yeah, since I'm a Trump supporter, those comments were also directed directly at me. So let's go. Prove I'm a simpleton that will ignore all of Trump's flaws and vow to disown the bad ol' orangeman. Let's continue that diatribe you peddle. I now am interested in responding. I also have boxes I can place people in. Whose box is accurate? Better yet, whose box is more embarrassing? I'm fairly certain your box is more entertaining for the board to make fun of. TDS should be included in the DSM-6, or revise the DSM-5 to include it since this phenomenon is so pervasive now. You are a walking, talking picture of Trump Derangement Syndrome. Do you like that box? Can you refute the rationale for placing you in that box. Everyone can refute your rationale for placing them into your irrational box, while you languish in your TDS box.
    • Clinton got impeached because of it. David Pecker said it was true about Stormy today. Under oath.
