Junior High Basketball starts today. Gentry takes on BH South. 8th in BH 7th at Gentry.

Gentry 8B bets BH South 29 - 19

Gentry 8A was up like 41 - 10 at the half so I assume they held on for the win.

Gentry 8A should be the top team in the district with Highlands being their top competition (This is all based on last year without knowing any move ins)

I will predict 8th grade a Being HJS district champs with a Gentry teams only loss coming to HJS. These two teams were the cream of the crop last year. HJS 8A is the same team plus 1.

I dont know any thing about the 7A teams around but I think our 7A team will be hard to handle. We played very timid and not aggressive in the 1st game. With more practice time and games go on they will get better.

You are indeed correct sir. And their only loss of the season was to Gentry in a tourney. Will be a good one.

Its going to be Gentrys title to lose this year. HJS 8A team is struggling at the moment. Crazy cause this team was dominate last season with the only loss to Gentry.

Man the HJS 7a game was a barn burner that the refs allowed. We had 10 point leads twice but every time we go out to those leads the refs started calling fouls on every single thing.  But we held on to stay unbeaten on the season at 4-0.

Next up Dayton. Anyone know how they are?

BH North 7A is 2-2 and BH South 7a is 2-2 with both teams already having their bye

HJS 8A wins over CBJ.

HJS 8B trailed 21-8 at half time and ended up winning 33-21.

HJS 7A beats CBJ 36-34 to stay unbeaten.

HJS 7B wins onver CBJ.

Gentry had their bye last week, I believe both 8A and 8B are still undefeated. They have Crosby at home tonight.

Barbers Hill North 4-1
Highlands 3-2

BH South is 2-3 with wins over Horace Mann and Dayton
Not sure of the other teams records.  Crosby may in 4th place.

My son plays on BH North 8A.  We won by around 25 against Dayton.  We have Cedar Bayou next week.

8th Grade B is a tie with HJS and Grentry with 1 loss each. HJS has 1 left vs Horace Mann and Gentry has 2 left.

7th Grade A is now a tie with HJS and Crosby with 1 loss each. Crosbys loss coming by HJS. HJS has 1 game left at HM and Crosby I think has 2 left.

7th Grade B im not even sure lol.

HJS 7A guaranteed their share of the district title with a 64-24 win over Horace Mann.

HJS 8B also guaranteed their share as well with a 38-18 win over Horace Mann.
