1. 3/14 Kade Coleman HJ hit a 3 run HR against Gonzales.
 2. It was ugly!  G. Anderson pitched for WOS.  Duplant, Edelmon, and Robinson for HJ. WOS was punching the ball and dropping Texas Leaguers into no-man's land.  Though one player (can't remember who) did have a solid hit into the gap to score some runs. With HJ, it seems the last few games you never know whose bat is going to show up for the game.  They just need more consistancy in the line-up (I know, I know, just like a lot of teams, but they are having way too many 0-For's).  IMO from watching the HJ players body language (and seeing some of the mistakes made), some players seemed mentally out of the game and WOS took advantage of it. Maybe we can blame it on Spring Break Fever.8) Hopefully, HJ can get it figured out before playing Orangefield Tuesday.
 3. Duplant did not pitch against Woodville.
 4. HJ Varsity defeats Woodville 9-5.  Goes undefeated in the Hardin Tournament.
 5. Not meaning to start rumors, but........... I heard from a reliable source that what the Administration is looking for in a HC/AD  is a young and enthusiastic football coach with the ability to hit the ground running....and it looks like the hiring will happen before the April 22 deadline.  There are 35 applicants right now, but many do not meet the qualifications that the District has stipulated, one of which is a post-graduate degree.
 6. Hey Lazeek, The district did not pay for the stands at HJ.  That was done through a donation by Coca-Cola.  The scoreboard was re- wrapped with an overlay.  Yes, every sport has seen cuts.  The basketball program is lucky to have the donors and sponsors that help them overcome their budget shortcomings.  If you want to find out about what is spent at the school on sports first-hand instead of from your sources in the basketball program and a Administrator, come to the Athletic Booster Club meetings and hear what ALL the coaches needs are for their sports.  You won't get lost in the crowd since we only have about 4 people show up (and that's just the club's Board members) along with a few coaches. Hope to see you there!
 7. HJ wins 7-0.  Aaron Edelmon winning pitcher with 10 Ks.
 8. eagleswoodville#1 I owe you an an apology.  8)
 9. Bottom of the Sixth HJ.            6 Quitman.    0

Or is HJ that tough?
Woodville has injuries.. HJ didn't look that that great but it was when Kountze scrimmaged them when i saw them
Well eagleswoodville#1, your earlier post didnt reflect any of these last comments, supposedly you didnt agree with HJ being mentioned as a top team in this tourney even after the so called injuries were mentioned. And utfan06, how did Kountze look when yall played us, the score was 1-1 after 4 and it was raining... HJ didnt look that good? Really? I thought Kountze looked great that night... Just my opinion. Woodville has how many kids on their Varsity roster? There were 13 in the dugout last night. Didnt look like "serveral" were out...
first off the soul of the woodville team there 3-4 hole hitters are both out and the other player can only hit because he tore something in his shoulder. Hickman is better than any player on the hj team and so is the indian kid
So HJ didn't win, Woodville just gave the game to them is what I'm reading.  Maybe you could've made that announcement for them before the game so everyone would know that Woodville was the better team, but because of injuries they would have a poor showing.  I guess whoever wins the Tournament will get an asterisk by their name: Winner* * Due to Woodville injuries
No that's not what you read. At all. Actually you read me simply lost the injuries. I even admitted that HJ played very well and Woodville played terribly. At no point did I say anything about how Woodville "gave the game to HJ". In fact, that's one of the most ill-conceived thing I think has been said on this thread. There's no doubt it would've been more competitive without the injuries. HJ has a much better team than I originally thought. I admitted that. Take it for what it's worth and stop trying to make what I said into something totally was not.
Did I take this "ill-conceived" statement in bold print out of context?  The sad thing is, you don't even know the "Indian" kid's name. :o smh  The thing is, it looks like I wasn't the only one on this forum that took it that way.  Just sayin' ;)
