  1. If it’s that easy it’s hard to imagine that coach Landry was not aware of it while it was taking place. That would make it intentional instead of unintentional and make the penalty worse.
  2. I didn’t think they would keep jv stats on game changer so I stand corrected from that point. So if you go on game changer and add them up he is over the 17 game limit? It is that simple? Some of y’all have checked that?
  3. I see the anonymous so not a self report. I just don’t see how any coach would have the info from all the jv games. Only a parent or bc coach would have that info.
  4. By someone in RED I meant someone from Bridge city not HJ
  5. I know Griff and Landry very well and from what I know they have a great relationship. I would very seriously doubt that Griff turned them in. He would not have any clue that the kid had played too many games. He is too busy worrying about his own team. The only people who could know that this happened would be BC coaches or fans that have been to all of the games. No one else has a clue how many games any kid has played on varsity and on JV. I would put all of my money on someone in RED being the person who turned the violation in. It could have even been Landry if he realized he made the mistake.
  6. I would think that it would be very hard to prove how many games someone has played on jv. Some schools do not keep books for under level games. Im not even really sure how you would prove if they played or did not play in a JV game as far as I know there is not a record kept for that.
  7. Looks like the JV had 11 scheduled games before the varsity game against silsbee. If he played in all 11 he would have needed to actually play in 7 games on varsity to make him ineligible at that point. Just dressing out and being in the dug out does not count. The player has to actually enter the game to count as a game. If a jv tournament was rained out it then adds more games he can play in since he didn't play in 3 tournaments.
  8. KF89 the misinformed part was to why the football coach is leaving not the umpires. I am not disputing that they got it wrong just saying it is tougher than it looks on the still picture posted.
  9. Yeah I haven't seen the video its hard to tell from the picture when he tags him its too far away. They really should work out a vocal call or something to cut down on the time it takes to look both places.
  10. I don't think paying attention was the problem. That's what I am trying to say is I don't think anyone could possibly see both at the same time and they are left to do the best they can with what evidence they have. Don't know the solution to be able to get that call made more accurately. Maybe an umpire can let us know how it is supposed to be handled?
  11. Yeah no way to get that right every time needing to see both. Good call by the BC coach.
  12. You can't see home plate and second base from where he is standing, he is basically on first base. If he was deeper towards right field maybe but from where he is at he can't. You can see he is looking at home and would have no clue when the tag was made. Same thing from third base, the only umpire that could possibly see both is home plate but he would have to move behind the plate and not in line with third where he is at. I don't know what the umpires responsibilities are or where they are supposed to be positioned but can tell from the picture none of them would be able to see both at the same time making it hard to be accurate with the call. You can barely see both in the camera and it is behind the fence giving it a much wider view than any of the umpires would have. It would seem the only way to get it right would be for one umpire to watch for the tag and make a vocal signal the other umpire watching the plate could hear to know when the tag was made.
  13. Looking at the three umpires in the picture no way any of the three could see both at the same time based on their positioning.
  14. He is very misinformed. Dubois said it clearly the administration above him. Only one person above the athletic director.
