I saw a post this weekend, on another site, that Evadale doesn't deserve to be in the playoffs.  WHY NOT?  We had goals set for this year, like every year. We wanted to win the River Bowl, win Homecoming, win the District Championship. God had other plans for us.  These young men fought through many adverse circumstances. The most recent being an outbreak of the flu, which left us with only 18 for the Lovelady game. Did they quit? We know the answer is No, they did not.  So now, we have achieved a team goal. WE ARE A PLAYOFF TEAM and we are 1 of only 64 teams left in our division.  We may lose, but we are deserving of the chance to compete.

The Evadale vs. Tarkington game is moving to a turf field. Playing the game, tomorrow, Thursday, 8/25/22, in Hardin. Game time is at 7:00pm.   Thank you To Hardin ISD for being so  accommodating. It is greatly appreciated.

The Evadale Rebels defeated Somerville ISD (15-3 & 11-1) in Willis, Texas to advance to the Area Round of the playoffs where they will face Flatonia ISD. 
A possible game location is at Magnolia West with games on Friday, May 13th, and Saturday, May 14th.

The 2 game winners are in  and the 2 game losers are out
if Colmesneil wins,  they will be 3rd if West Sabine wins and 4th if Mount Enterprise wins
if Cushing wins, they will be 3rd if Mount Enterprise wins and 4th if West Sabine wins
if West Sabine wins, they will be 3rd & if Cushing wins and 4th if Colmesneil wins

This is correct to the best of my knowledge.

Man an Evadale - Colmesneil matchup would be must-see.  Those teams hate each other.  Last time Evadale played at Colmesneil (if I recall correctly), there was a scrum the first drive.  There were several players kicked out and as a Bulldog player was walking off he saluted the Rebel sideline.  Now, I’m quite sure something caused his reaction from the Rebel players, but it was heated.  Again, if I recall correctly the coach (at the time) for Colmesneil had backed out of some games and tried to get other teams to back out of the Rebel schedule.      Game would probably be played at Jasper and would be a fun playoff game.  If I’m wrong please let me know.  

Evadale will travel to Lumberton tomorrow, Saturday (9-21-19), to play Lumberton Varsity at 1:00 pm.

Evadale's bi-district games have been moved to Adam Dunn Field in New Caney. I think (99.9% sure) the times are the same. 

There are no schools in the area Smaller than Evadale, Grapeland, Lovelady, West Hardin & Burkeville, unless you go 1-A (six man).
All have openings on 10/5, 10/11, 10/18, 10/25 & 11/01 because a certain team is not honoring its district schedule.
 
 

10/5, 10/11, 10/18, 10/25 & 11/01 are games needed for Evadale, Grapeland, Lovelady, West Hardin & Burkeville.
All of these teams are 2-A varsity teams.
Please contact any of these coaches as they are in need of games because they had a team cancel on them.

Great Team Effort in this series.  Alex Valencia, Wyatt Taylor and Klay Sylvester were very good on the mound.  Hitting was fantastic.  From top to bottom the entire lineup hit the Comanche pitching. Chris Adams Knocked the cover off the ball including a 3 run bomb to center field. DH, Kip Nolan had several hits including 2 doubles. Parker Moye played fantastic at first and had 4 doubles. Tyler Torres hit the ball well and was a wall behind the plate.  Chase Williams had several timely hits. Micah Sanchez flashed some nice leather in the outfield.  Judd Powell was solid at 2nd base.  Coach Terry and the bench players were tremendous, Coach Ron Luna called 2 very good games and none of it would work without Coach Mark Williams who is the Glue that holds it all together. As you can tell, it was a team win. 
Very Proud Day To Be A Rebel. 
Next week we get a rematch with Thorndale.
