I saw a post this weekend, on another site, that Evadale doesn't deserve to be in the playoffs.  WHY NOT?  We had goals set for this year, like every year. We wanted to win the River Bowl, win Homecoming, win the District Championship. God had other plans for us.  These young men fought through many adverse circumstances. The most recent being an outbreak of the flu, which left us with only 18 for the Lovelady game. Did they quit? We know the answer is No, they did not.  So now, we have achieved a team goal. WE ARE A PLAYOFF TEAM and we are 1 of only 64 teams left in our division.  We may lose, but we are deserving of the chance to compete.

IT WILL BE FOLLOWED BY GAME 2 30 MINUTES AFTER.

GAME 3 (IF NEEDED) WILL TAKE PLACE SATURDAY AT 1:00PM. 

The Evadale Rebels defeated Somerville ISD (15-3 & 11-1) in Willis, Texas to advance to the Area Round of the playoffs where they will face Flatonia ISD. 
A possible game location is at Magnolia West with games on Friday, May 13th, and Saturday, May 14th.
