  1. Very possible. They're definitely not making it easy on themselves. The guy is a walking target. You get move-ins from across the country, go undefeated, then some players start showing their hind ends. Making enemies of the state lol.
  2. Conspiracies haha. Who knows? It was right in the middle of a pretty heated discussion over the matter lol.
  3. Haha that qoute was all messed up. I didn't realize that you were qouting someone else.
  4. LOL it did do that. Terrible timing.
  5. In all reality, the kids will probably be ruled eligible again next week. This will go on next year when those 2 kids move in from California next year. Apparently the employment opportunities in Mount Vernon are just too good to pass up. But the Hawthorne situation is very odd, considering he's supposedly the uncle to the 2 kids that got ruled ineligible.
  6. Ole' Lynx Hawthorne. Lots of strange things going on over there.
  7. Yeah, some. Seemingly everyone that's not in our district lol.
  8. So glad I got to hear a segment on Atlanta after 2 weeks 🙄. We about to make some believers out of folks this week!
  9. I know this is old, but this was a great game. Carthage may or may not have crossed the line... but like someone else pointed out, Carthage was robbed of a scoop and score earlier in the game that resulted in zero points for Carthage. It was blatantly obvious as well, even before I replayed it 5 times. I honestly feel like MH had the better team, but Carthage undoubtedly was more prepared and had the upper hand as far as coaching staff.
  10. You can call it what you want to. 111 yards is still positive yardage, and due to their success, even in the slightest, it caused WO-S to over-pursue. 254 yards passing would arguably be PG's season high I would bet. So whether you want to call it "running on them" or "a successful running game," it was both. Any running game that causes the defense to commit a vast majority of their players to stop, opening up the passing game, is a successful running game.
  11. 83' Tigers were unbelievable. I'll be surprised if that's ever matched. Offenses averaged mere inches per play.
  12. I called it before it ever happened. "Oh this can't beat us," "oh this can't beat us," "Oh no team can run on us." I've seen a lot of football, and I've never seen anyone quite run that offense the way PG ran it. It's actually a version of wing T, but they only ran 1 play the entire state championship game that was "traditional" wing T. There were many factors that played into it's success though. They could throw, run, and they had the hosses up front. They would lay the wood too. I'm NOT a PG fan by any means. There in the top 3 teams we loath, but I could tell early that they were special, and they only got better with each week. Seeing them 3-4 rounds deep in the playoffs, and they're still finding ways to be even better.
  13. I remember someone claiming they weren't "talking about WOS" when they were gloating a few days ago, but here you are, gloating about WOS again. Amazzzaaazzzzing.

  15. Yea Atlanta dropped this year. We were just a 5-6 team (2-3 in district). District was Spring Hill, Pittsburg, Gladewater, Gilmer, Pleasant-Grove, and Atlanta. Lost to Jasper in the first round of the playoffs.
  16. Well, anyways, who do we think will come out on top in the region?
  17. Funny how that happens. Atlanta doesn't have the best team they've had in a decade, but they do have some good athletes, and they just happened to drop down the year they're all seniors.

  19. I wish I could go see a couple of these games. Silsbee is returning 4/8 starters. WOS though isn't returning but 3/4. Gilmer is returning 4/5. Gilmer however, is starting a new QB, and I've heard some stories about them looking rough in 7 on 7. Who knows though. Gilmer over the last decade and a half, has always managed to field a good team, regardless of who graduates. They'll have something up their sleeve. But they will start (0-1), regardless.
  20. It is what it is I guess. We've always scheduled teams like Gilmer/L-E, even used to schedule Texas High and what not.
  21. Are there really a lack of schools that WILL play Newton? I can't imagine actually being afraid of playing someone in your division, or even under.
  22. That would definitely put you up against Franklin, more than likely, in the 3rd round.
