  1. He worked at Crosby for a stint before getting his first Super job, so that makes sense
  2. He was forced out, opted to "retire" to be let down easy. From what I'm hearing, he was a dead man walking once they hired their new superintendent last year. Several of his staff got out before this season before the hammer dropped. Hearing someone from Crosby may be tapped to fill the opening.
  3. Coach Bear coached me in HS. I also went to UT, hence the HookEm. It's irresponsible for you to imply what you are implying, and above all incorrect.
  4. Anyone have any information about who is up to be interviewed at Sterling? I'm fairly positive the process started today and will go through tomorrow...I heard Coach Williams is in the running as well as Don Price from C.E. King (formerly of Barbers Hill). Also heard about a coach from HISD but not sure who. Anyone heard anything about Joe Berezoski? I know he was rumored as well...
  5. Coach Mann was great at what he did, and I'm sure Crosby will miss him in that regard. As to why he "resigned", well, it's not really a secret. If you really want to know, ask anyone who knows or has a student at Crosby HS. You can also dig through twitter and find out too. Unfortunate choices were made, but hopefully Mann rebounds from this and lands on his feet.
  6. Ok, fair enough. But I think it's clear now that I have a pretty good idea of what's going on at Sterling RE: Gareri/Williams. After all, Gareri is out, as I said he would be. Just looking for something positive to come out of all of this.
  7. I try to post positive things about a great man and coach (Joe Berezoski), and my posts were taken down from the STERLING thread? Why?
  8. I heard good things about this board, but now I'm beginning to see a lot of what Old School is talking about. Post an opinion that a Mod doesn't like or agree with, and get blocked by from the thread. Wow...
  9. From what I know, seems to be a foregone conclusion at this point
  10. Seems like its time for a change at Sterling. Program has a lot of potential that is going to waste. I'd like to put Joe Berezoski's name out there as a candidate to replace the old coach. Coach Bear has a ton of experience, dating back to his days at Clear Lake coaching with Jerry Stewart. Coach Bear worked alongside Coach Stewart to help build Clear Lake into a winner, and I know from experience that he could do the same at Sterling. He's been at Sterling 8 years and is currently not coaching due to being ran out by political "shenanigans" of the current regime. Hopefully this is the opportunity I know he's been looking for.
