I know that recently WOS had two Seniors athletes that were arrested a suspended from athletics and all extra curriculars but I was just told that a Beaumont High School had a Senior to be arrested a week ago with no punishment after spending the night in jail. Can anyone confirm and what is the norm for this type of punishment?

I agree with the more $ theory 100%. I think sometimes people, not just on this board, but everywhere, that are not familier with teachers and their retirement don't understand how difficult it is to find jobs in education that pay much at all. Therefore if you are a Head Coach, principal, superintendent etc... then you have to take that opportunity when it presents itself. I also think 20 schools per classification possibly having the ability to win a title may be sufficient for 5A and 6A but definitely not 4A on down. Just my opinion!

So apparently I made a mistake about Coach Frank being the Defensive Coordinator at Ozen after Coach Brown. Apparently he was the Defensive Coordinator before Coach Brown and then Coach Strange took over when Brown got sick. Still don't think he was the Defensive Coordinator at Channelview, but the GURU has been wrong before.

Once again Jack Dallas is not only the best pitcher in the area, but he is the best baseball player in the area. Cudos to the Mustangs and a great job by head coach Shay!

I think the Cards will be fine in 17 and very good in 18. JMO

I don't think Frank was the DC at Channelview, but I know he was a DC for Nelson after Tony Brown got sick at Ozen. I'm pretty sure Malcom was just a position coach at Channelview.

I threw that out there earlier, but I didn't think that would actually be the outcome. I am surprised that they were put on 2 years probation and a reprimand. The probation is for the school and all the sports for two years.
