    11-4A

12 games played by the members of this district. Combined record is 3 wins, 9 losses. Splendora has 2 of those wins. Lumberton has the other. Average score of the 12 games: 114A D1 15.25, Opponents 37.33. BC has only scored 14 points, LCM 8 points and Livingston 7 points. These losses for these 3 teams 35+ points. Definitely pretty weak district so far.
  2. The earlier loss to WOS was in the East Chambers tournament. The two teams meet again in District play on 2/14.
  3. Great Job. Been trying to collect LC/LCM scores for a few years. In 2010 LCM beat Livingston 57 - 49 in OT. Your score shows 5 - 49. There record was 7 - 3 that year, instead of 6 -4. Thanks again for all the hard work.
  4. 5-1 LCM. Top of 4th. Gonzo pitching for Bears. No other details. Will post as I get texts from game.
  5. Congrats Bears. For all us fans, let's don't too excited. A couple of wins and being competitive in every game will be a major improvement. We finally have the right guy in charge and he will turn things around.
  6. No Doubt it is WO-S Football, and I am a Bear Fan. You have to give credit where credit is due
  7. After New Caney Tournament, LC-M is now 12-2. Wins against Livingston, Northeast Christian, Whitehouse and New Caney.
  8. Congratulations from LC-M. V.J. is an exceptional ball player. He is one of the guys in the Vidor line-up that you try to pitch around and not let him beat you. Great fielder. Good luck at Lamar. Make Orange County proud.
  9. Coach Griff at LC-M is not only an excellent coach, who knows the rules, gets the most out of his players, makes great game decisions, etc. But the most important thing is that he cares about his players. He goes out of his way to make sure that any player that is interested in moving on to the next level, has a chance to do that. I will never forget him telling a player, after a heartbreaking loss in the Astrodome to Nederland, that if this is the worst thing that ever happens to you in life, your life will be OK. And for all you doubters out there, I have not had or will have a son that plays for him. Coach Griff is, simply put, a fine man.
  10. Good post JohnnyT60. It appears to me that these administrators are going out of their way to assert authority and in the process are killing school spirit. I noticed it during football season and it appears they are continuing the practice. Maybe if more than the two female members of our school board attended athletic events, they would see the problem with policy. I applaud the two board members that I see at our games. The rest of the guys need to understand that running a school, isn't just about going to meetings. They need to show up at UIL events to see for themselves what is going on with our administration.
  11. I have a friend from Vidor that told me, the first game after 9/11 the Vidor PA Annoucer said it was time for all Americans to take back their country and that the invocation started and continued from that game on. I applaud the Vidor Pirates for having the courage to defy laws that 99.99% of all Americans disagree with. It was a heart warming moment for all LC-M fans that are used to the customary moment of silence and yes the LC-M fans did give a standing ovation for the prayer. Maybe it's time for all schools in this area to show they have some gumption and defy this ridiculous court ruling. God Bless America and Southeast Texas.
  12. I have to agree with pigskinmom. One of the biggest concerns is the coaches that continue to leave the LC-M football program. We need stablility in the football staff. I am also concerned about the appearance (from the stands) of a lack of discipline on the sidelines this season. It definitely got worse as the year progressed. Hopefully Coach Moody is learning valuable lessons and will get things back on track. The 2006 season raised expectations and 2007 brought everything tumbling back down. I don't even count 2005, because it was Coach Moody's first season and Hurricane Rita threw a major kink in that year. Bear fans need to demand excellence from this program and ultimately the head coach is responsible. LC-M fans need to let every school board member, every coach and especially the superintendent, know that we are all tired of status quo. It is time to move this program forward and compete with the schools in this district. It is an extremely tough district, but everyday life is tough. Excuses are for losers. Winning is what life is about and football is an excellent teacher for young men. Hopefully Coach Moody is the answer and this year was just a huge bump in the road. I will continue to support this program, no matter what, but losing is hard to take year after year. Let me hear from you Bear fans. Comments from fans of other schools are appreciated also.
  13. Defensively, Stefan Leger (LC-M). Kid has all the tools. Suffered knee injury during football. Hope he is OK.
  14. I must say, that I am very impressed with WOS87's work. I love statistics. Thanks for the info.
  15. Does anyone have any info on the LC-M @ Willis Scrimmage?
  16. Congratulations Jake. You are as fine a young man as you are a baseball player. Good luck always.
  17. Anybody have directions to Santa Fe's Field from Orange.
