  1. Im just wondering when has the city or culture ever been great to where people wanted to stay in beaumont. And lets be real, it not like people are moving their kids to better cities and cultures. We are talking about sports here. People are literally making lateral moves for the sake of making the playoffs not state championships. and i would like to know what kids are moving that made an impact in BISD? Looking the kids that transferred out of bisd only 4 had varsity experience and they all came from wb. who then went off to silsbee, ce king, converse judson and kelly. everyone else played freshman and jv. If you cant dominate freshman and jv, what make you think youre going to come up in this district and dominate in your position? and Id like to know how many of yall actually watch WB and BU play to make comments about there programs? Because reading these comments, either yall dont watch these teams play or yall dont know football.
  2. Add Michael Feacher to that freshman list. He made his varsity debut against NS in 2020. Also played in the playoffs with that 2020 team. Been on varsity every since. Bryce Anderson started that wave. Very well deserving of it as well. This qb is talented. Ive seen his games and the kid has a bright future.
  3. The kid can play. WB doesnt have any other qb on the roster that can come in and back him up whether its a sophomore or jr. Roy has played the whole season because he didnt have a qb to back him up. Roy shouldve been benched when he wasnt producing at qb. Wb has a good qb coming up in this kid.
  4. Let's be real about this. Back in those days i've never seen or heard of all this recruiting that goes on in high school football. Some of these parents act like they are getting paid millions to move their kids to the other side of setx to play football. Beaumont has lot a lot of kids due to angry parents moving because of playing time on varsity when they couldnt dominate freshman nor JV. Its not about the facilities and weight rooms. Its all about playing time for RIGHT NOW. If beaumont kept there kids where they belong you would see different levels of competition. Do you see kids transferring out of the city to go play basketball like you see for football? Whether its Silsbee, port arthur, kelly, or houston schools. No its only football. These parents really dont understand the process of getting their child recruited. Its the camps that they need to attend and do good on the film that they do create. Every player on elite HS teams doesnt get offers to college. So why do these parents do all this moving around when you dont have to? But then want to blame the HS coach for you taking your athlete to another school and get mad when your child have to sit out. Be smart with your kid.
  5. Whether its a basketball, tennis ping pong, or whatever sport city it is, it still takes a lot of commitment from families to help train the kids to their craft. I dont know about yall but i go to the games and look at the games from a coaching aspect and player aspect. You say there isnt talent when there is. These same kids can go to 5A, 4A, 3A, TAPPS and win games. They have colleges looking at a few kids off that team so i cant say there isnt talent. Especially when you have district leading players returning or "highly recruited" players on the team or that was removed from the team. You can only ask your defense for so much... I saw something on facebook where the conversation was asked who could west brook beat in the area.. And i think every team in the area. Then the statements were made that silsbee, pa, wos, png could compete in 21-6A. MAN PLEASE! MASSACRES every friday night. 21-6A along with 6A in general is bigger and faster more depth than SE TX. You give any team WB schedule and they'll be 0-3 right now as well.
  6. who all was he trying to bring in? a whole new staff? i think its the money that is the problem of how much they are paying.
  7. wb isnt bad athletically. they can compete. they are struggling with off the field issues. The coaches from what ive seen in the last 5 years have been able to bring who they want to bring in. that hasnt been a problem. idk where that is coming from.
  8. They have talent its just the lack of support for the athletes off the field. The scores doesnt tell the whole story of the games if you know what i mean,
  9. This was funny to read.. i understand what Izzy is saying about the scheduling and resources in BISD. To me, if you want to get better your non district should be scheduled with some stiff competition that is going to prepare you for your district. West Brook Non district schedule is pretty decent with lamar, manvel and deer park. BU schedule against those teams idk. Watching WB games and film tells me that they can make the playoffs in that 4th spot and that they need to be in 5A due to the size of their roster. But the schools in setx doesnt have the tools and facilities like the schools in houston and the greater houston area. We truly are behind in that category. They are doing the best they can with what they have. I think one school is truly needed for BMT if they want to compete in 6A. I think West brook if they were 5A would beat PA (in a super close one) and PNG. Now BU i dont know because i havent watched film on them.
  10. Foreman would've been great for WB. People can say what they want about Foreman. He knew how to get his talent sent off to college.
  11. yea he didnt have the same talent at ozen as the years of the past. And they werent the same caliber of kids as the central days nor ozen days. Ozen had some players come through there. Louis and Brooks had the best IMO. Stowers group and suggs group were very similar. oh how i miss those central days! nothing like a friday night at babe! lol
  12. Brooks and louis at ozen with suggs, stowers and foreman at central
