  1. Bryan Whitmires job if he wants it. Hoyt could be a dark horse.
  2. If that’s your logic then same goes for Mitchell. Lumberton has reaped the benefits of 4A. Scott Barrett should win it over him. Went further, and smoked them in the playoffs. But, I agree it should be Green.
  3. Why’s it matter? I know y’all love beating teams when they’re at rock bottom. But you’ve already played LCM twice.
  4. Lmao according to your name you’re 30ish. You depend on 15-17 year olds to make you happy?
  5. Well ain't this place (Cheek) a geographical oddity...two weeks from everywhere!
  6. 1. Baytown Sterling/Beaumont United 2. Port Arthur Memorial/La Porte 3. Huffman Hargrave/Little Cypress-Mauriceville 4. Livingston/Lumberton 5. Splendora/Vidor 6. Jasper/Rusk 7. Bridge City/Hardin-Jefferson 8. Liberty/Orangefield 9. West Orange-Stark/Silsbee 10. Coldspring-Oakhurst/Huntington 11. Diboll/Elkhart 12. Anahuac/East Chambers 13. Buna/Hardin 14 Kirbyville/Tarkington 15. Kountze/Corrigan-Camden 16. New Waverly/Newton 17. Joaquin/San Augustine 18. West Hardin/Shelbyville 19. Burkeville/Sabine Pass 20. High Island/Evadale 21. Hull-Daisetta/Deweyville 22. Addison Trinity Chirstian/Beaumont Kelly 23. Nederland/Jacksonville 24. Crosby/Montgomery 25. Tomball/Port Neches-Groves
  7. Spot on with your top 4. I would maybe switch a few around. 1. Lumberton-Mitchell and McClure...what more do you need? 2. Silsbee-It is still Silsbee 3. Vidor-I expect my pirates to get back into the playoffs for the first time in quite awhile. Dropping down from 5A has its benefits, see Lumberton. 4. WOS-Athletes and a new coach who is a proven winner on the female side. LCM, BC, and Orangefield battling for 5th.
  8. I think most would agree it is mainly about the "Johnny's and Joe's" a little more than the X's and O's. Recruiting is essential at the next level. With all of these rumors of high school coaches recruiting, who are some area coaches that could make it at the next level, as far as being a strong recruiter?
  9. Don't forget about HJ, they would be my favorite to win that district. Should be some great first round matchups in the playoffs between those 3 teams and the Silsbee/Lumberton district.
  10. Wouldn't he have to attend a Port Arthur school? I know many had a problem with some of the new players HF brought in last year, this seems like another one of those cases.
  11. Imagine thinking Lumberton basketball is "fun to watch". You need to get out more.
  12. Or learn how to coach against all facets of the games. Everyone knows zone can be a neutralizer when athletes don't match up. Another reason high school basketball needs a shot clock.
  13. You saw one BC game all year and it was at the two time defending state champions place? Great way to judge a team.
  14. Tigers another dominating performance with a 45-16 win over the rebs. 5-0 #5 in the Nation. At Florida next week before #2 Georgia heads to Baton Rouge. Geaux Tiguhs!!!
  15. How's Herman working out? You're gonna wish it was last year when tu starts 1-5.
  16. Good thing you don't do this for a living.
  17. Poorly ran tournament. They could have found something a lot better.
  18. It was, he still won a national championship and brought us to another with multiple 10+ win seasons and a bowl every year. Whos your team?
  19. Good thing I'm an LSU fan Try again
  20. Charlie Strong 71% winning percentage at Louisville Charlie Strong 43% at tu (No winning seasons and only 1 bowl game in 3 years) Charlie Strong 2-0 at South Florida...best start he's had since Louisville days...sure he started 2-0 his last year at tu, but we all saw how good the Notre Dame win really was. Also, lets not forget he lost to Kansas...in FOOTBALL. Shaka Smart 74% winning percentage at VCU Shaka Smart 47% winning percentage at tu...hmmm another coach under the 50% mark at the big bad tu David Pierce 64% winning percentage at Sam Houston and Tulane David Pierce 61% winning percentage at tu...alot easier to have a winning record in baseball with all those cupcake mid week games...but can't fake conference games...11-12 in conference play See a trend yet? Now, obviously Herman has more than enough time to turn things around, but losing a home opener to the University of Maryland in FOOTBALL? Not a great start. San Jose State is rolling into town next, Charlie Strong beat them opening week by 20 btw, no pressure longhorn fans. Lastly, in before the recruiting excuses...look up tu recruiting compared to Maryland the past 5 years...ill wait
