  1. Game Day! Praying for safe travels for all those PNG fans heading to DFW. I missed last year’s game due to vacationing. You would swear my Rattlers were playing today. Weird! But, I’m excited to finally see a PNG game in person. Go Indians!
  2. I chuckle every time someone mentions running off Fedora. Fedora had one more year on his contract. Meanwhile, other educators’ contracts were ending at the end of the school year. Was it wrong to handle the more pressing contracts? Meanwhile, I get it. Fedora was successful... Could the school board have handled the situation differently? Probably. Again, Fedora is where he always wanted to be.
  3. I think you can spin many ways; but, Fedora is where he always wanted to be, back at A&M Consolidated. In my opinion, Goodman was handed the job probably at the recommendation of Fedora. The same thing happened when Goodman was promoted to the head basketball job without any real prior head coaching experience. He was not a good fit. It was a slap in the face for many of Rattler Naton when the district didn’t put much “effort” in hiring of a more qualified coach. After wining two championship in three years and 7-8 consecutive years of making at least the quarterfinals, Navasota deserved better. I know some good coaches who will be applying. Hopefully we’ll be back playing late November early December football very soon.
  4. Navasota 24-0 Final Rattlers had 5-6 TDS called back. Will have to clean that up before BC and LCM.
  5. Congrats Tigers. Way to fight back from a early deficit. Navasota’s defense looked even worse tonight.
  6. Yeah they were horrible. But, they remained competitive.
  7. Navasota is head and shoulders better than the nightmarish 2016 season. No, they’re nowhere good as the 2012 or 2014 teams. Defensively, you’re right, we can’t stop the run!!! It’s been years since Navasota has struggled this mightily against the run. Offensively, we are indeed a quick strick offense... speedy receivers and a much improved QB. We’ve lost 3 games by a combined 7 points. All, three games should have easily been won... Some poor coaching mistakes, penalties, and the play of the defense and we could be looking at a 6-0 Rattler team. In the 1 point loss to Franklin, we scored late but left too much time on the clock for them to drive down to score. Yes, the ran they ball down our throats. They went for two to win the game with less than 10 seconds remaining. Same thing happened against Bryan, who by the way lost by 1 to College Station.. who by the way were a few point from beating power house Austin Westlake and a team that just knocked off state ranked A&M Consolidated. Against Bryan, we lost an OT heartbreaker on HC by 1 Point. The Rattlers elected to go for 2 instead of the extra point. In the loss to undefeated Magnolia West, 30-25, we were without of starting QB. We scored late but it was called back due to a penalty. By the way, West beat the previously unbeaten Brenham Cubs 44-21. I compare scores at this point to help me understand how good we can be. Yes, we need to improve against the run. As is, we’re not a bad team at all.
  8. Hey, the way the Bears are throwing up points, it very well could be another shoot out.. That could very well be for the district championship but I know Silsbee and BC will have something to say about that.
  9. Halftime Navasota 34- Huffman 7... My prediction was before the season even started. It doesn’t take a football fan long to realize what type of team they’re looking at. Again, Navasota will win district. And from what I remember, Navasota won state in 2014 in that HISD district.. Yall are so funny.. come playoffs, Navasota owns SE Football!!
  10. Cleveland Silsbee Navasota BTW, Navasota will win district.
