I agree to disagree,I strongly believe that over all girls softball is seeing better parity through out each district. With more girls playing summer ball and seeing what top competition is like it make them better players.Speaking on Warrens behalf they had the pitching earlythe Hampshire girls, then followed the Holland girl. The there was Red and Kat.These girls set the bar.Tif.made a big move her freshman year. There was no one to catch Holland so Tiff.who was a very good ss moved to catcher.Hollands senior year she moved to 3rd for defensive purposes, and Red tookk over. Now theres Amber Kelly who moves into Reds spot.Last season Red moved to ss some to help out defensively.I guess what all this is about is that Warren has a great talent pool for softball.I think for the last 3 to 4 year warren has set the stanard for our area 2a.Warren will again take dist.

I agree that Warren has a great tradition, and the girls are very well coached, but there several other teams in the district that are striving to build a successful program to compete with Warren each year.  JMO Deweyville and Kountze have to much talent returning this year for Warren to hold on to the district crown.  It will be very exciting year.  "Can't Wait"

Looks like not much is expected from Hardin this year. Hopefully things will get better.

Just gotta ask this question. If Deweyville,Kountze and Warren all return 7 starters off last years clubs and Warren won the district last year how would Deweyville and Kountze return to much for Warren to hold on to the crown Huh

7 starters returning for Warren? All three will compete for 1rst, but don't count out D'wack. They make things happen with strong D and small ball that most teams don't see too much of,  or at least done as well as the lady panthers do it,

Didn't get to see Anahuac but once last year at Woodville when they played Warren. They did play very good defense but I heard they lost their pitcher.Yes Warren only graduated 2 players off last years club.

My opinion is based on the growth and maturity that I have seen from several of the the girls from Deweyville and Kountze this summer, and fall playing at the 18u gold level.  I wish all the teams "Good Luck" this year.

Ok here's one more question.Do the 7 returners for Deweyville and Kountze mature faster than the 7 returners for Warren  Huh I heard Warren had a pretty good player move back down this way that lived here a few years back, not sure what her name is but hear she's a pretty good young pitcher. Will the Warren stadium be ready this year or will Warren be road Warriors again this year??

WHSalum,  The player transferring in will be an "Impact" type player from the information that I received.  My guess is that there will also be at least a couple of freshman that will be able to provide immediate contribution to really make Warren a solid team.   And, from what I am hearing from earlier posters, there will be several solid teams, which add up to a real tough district which will be fun to watch.   As far as Warrens new softball stadium being ready, I hear it will be ready for district, but if you want a more accurate estimate, you probably need to talk to Coach Keytal.

I hope the stadium is ready. The girls deserve to get to play some home games this year.I think the district will be very close this year but I gotta give the Lady Warriors some props, they have been pretty consistant for years.
