Do to the rediculous amount of money West Orange school district is charging, we will be playing our next home game in Lake Charles. We are working with the LCM school district to play our home games there starting in two weeks. The WOCCISD were charging us $2100 per game! Yes thats correct. Then they turned the water off to our fieldhouse last home game and would not refund the $800 they charge us for facility use. This just goes to show just how the West Orange school district is. They could care less about the community and the athletics in the area in a whole. We could probably rent Reliant stadium for how much they were charging us. We were just trying to give the community of Orange something positive to do on a Saturday night and this is what we get. We didnt want to leave the area, but we will do what we have to to keep playing. We have a great team. If anyone may see a WOCCISD trustee, thank them for being one of the worst run government entities in the world. Just ask the WOS athletic department, the track budget was cut a few days after they won the STATE CHAMPIONSHIP. Not to mention the football program fights just to get ample equiptment for the kids. They wont even give them money for knee braces that could save a kid from a carreer ending injury.

Classy post.  Maybe since football season is starting, and the fields are for the kids, they dont want semi-pro washed up has beens tearing up the fields.  It's just a thought.

Ok, moron. If you had a clue about anything going on at WOS you would keep your mouth shut. Go pester someone else. Your insult was uncalled for. Go back to your cave.

Funny, I heard someone took a hammer to one of the equipment lockers and stoled some equipment.

I also heard that you guys left crap (bear bottles, cans, etc.) from one end of the field house to the other! So maybe the district is just protecting it's interests by charging you guys so much.

Just what I heard from a very reliable source.

whoa dont be mad cause you played guard, end and tackle. you guarded the water, at the end of the bench and tackled anyone near it. that is what is wrong with people we take simple things for granted. there are a lot of people that wish they could play again. these guys are able to do so. show some respect. my brother plays for them and i would appreciate it if you would step onto the field and you see if these guys are washed up. you would get washed up for sure. yeah i know its for the kids but money talks. that money would help keep the field up also. the district knew it was outrageous to charge that amount. no other district in texas does not charge over $900.

I was told and heard this by an extremely reliable source.
How do you know what the players do and don't do? You don't play.

Well I play and KNOW that didnt happen. Your "source" was probably talking about when the Demons played there. We are NOT the Demons and we HAVE NOT done anything wrong. You " HEard"? Well I also heard that pigs can fly. It must be true. Get facts before you or any other person labels us. I also just found out that the locker that was broken into happened this past week. We havent played there in over a month. Kind of funny isnt it? now you can stick your foot in your mouth and go disrespect someone else on another forum. And yes, I investigated the situation and rather than "hearing" like you did I found out the FACTS. Good day.

I said "SOMEONE" broke into the locker. Didn't say the Tigers broke into the locker. So who should stick who's foot in who's mouth?  Roll Eyes
I was "told" point blank, so maybe heard was not the correct term. It wasn't like I was eaves droping and over heard the tail end of a convo. The guy called me complaining about the whole situation because he is directly involved!
The point was that the district may be protecting their assets by charging so much.

I see your crawfishing now. You did not imply that "someone" broke int a locker, you directed it straight toward us. Thats not fair to try and degrade us on something that had NOTHING to do with us. Go pester someone else.

How am I crawfishing? I never implied that it was the Tigers. I implied that someone did this that had access to the locker room. For the record I will state that the Tigers were not responsible for the stolen equipment so as to make sure that everyone reading this understands. But as I stated in the first post, someone did it that had access.

I did state clearly that you guys routinely trashed the field house. And by you guys I meant the Demons. Are the Tigers made of ex Demon players? If the guys that were trashing the field house on the weekends are not a part of the Tigers, then I will detract, but the point was again all these things have happened (fact) and this might be what has prompted WOS to charge so much.

So did the WOCCISD charge $2100 or $800 per game? Confused by that first post. And the construction company cut into the main water line over there, thus the water was cut off, but you "IMPLIED" that they (WOCCISD) just cut the water off on you guys. Roll Eyes
I would agree that the district probably should have lowered the $800 charge due to the lack of water, but they didn't maliciuosly cut off the water as you implied.

Good Luck with LCM. God knows there ain't no quality football played over there on Friday nights. Maybe you will have better luck on Saturdays. Goin to "pester" someone else with facts!

Yes, I agree about stepping back. I just have a problem with people judging us on things that have NOTHING to do with us. Obviously Badndn has a personal beef with semi-pro football. All we are trying to do is have fun and play a great game while we still can. And yes, some of us are from the Demons, but that is why we left the Demons. We did not want to be associated with negativity. why cant we just play football and have fun? Why are there so many haters out there? Give us a break!

If what you say is true that you guys are trying to distance yourselves from the past transgressions of the Demons, then I applaude you guys. Have the folks at WOS been willing to meet with you guys so you could sell yourselves as a new organization (Tigers) that will hold a higher standard. Maybe they would reduce the charges and give you guys a chance to proove that you are a responsible organization that will look out for the community. Or have they just turned a deaf ear?

Not against semi-Pro or even Adult leagues at all. In fact I played for several years in the adult baseball league and we valued the facilities that were loaned to us, so much so that we often took better care of them then the schools did (some not all).

Just consider the source Kick.
What is that supposed to mean?
